Whistler Camp

For those doing Ironman Canada in Whistler this is a great opportunity to get familiar with the course and do some solid training leading to the big day. The 4-day camp (Friday to Monday) includes endurance and tempo training in all three disciplines and will allow you to bike and run on the course. In addition, all participants will have an opportunity to work one on one with the coaches to develop your tactical and nutrition race plan.
Swimming: Get wet in the Meadow Park Sports Centre and/or get some open water experience in Alta Lake (weather permitting) several times over the weekend.
Biking: Enjoy scenic and challenging group rides on the IM course, the lovely Callahan Valley, down into Pemberton to play on the flat and fast out and back part of the course.
Running: Participate in both endurance and technical runs on the marathon route through the beautiful Whistler village area.
Transportation: Whistler is a 12 hour drive from Calgary so flying to Vancouver may be the best way to get there. Some participants may be able to drive so carpooling is recommended. Monday is a training day so if you are flying, look to depart out of Vancouver in the evening.
Accommodation: Whistler has a huge variety of accommodation available and several ways to access and book lodgings. We recommend all participants stay in Whistler village so it is easier to round everybody up.
