Vinegirls Training Program leading to Barb's Race

Join coach Jill and some other Calgary women in the wine country of California for a weekend of wonderful scenery, lots of fun and comraderie and participation in Barb's Race, the only all-womens half iron distance race in North America. And there is great food and wine in the region too!

The training program includes:
- a complete 14 week training program to prepare for the 2km swim, 90 km bike, and 21km run
- April 15 to Race Day (July 25, 2015)
- 2 swim, 2 bike and 2 run workouts weekly, most workouts are non-coached but will have enough description you can do the workouts at a time convenient for you.
- coached swim sessions every second Friday evening 7:15pm - 8:15pm
- coached bike sessions Sundays 8:00am to 11:00am
- coached run sessions Wed evenings 7:00pm - 8:00pm
- additional coached sessions covering wetsuit swim technique, sighting, drafting, mass starts, bike handling, transition, and packing your bike for travel
- at the end of the program you will be mentally and physically ready to take on the challenge of a half iron distance event.
- for those traveling with a spouse or partner who would also like to race, there are several other options for male athletes running concurrently including a full iron distance race, a full Aquabike and a 70.3 Aquabike
