Programs and Pricing 

Running Programs … whether a novice runner or seasoned marathoner, we can help develop some specific training to help you achieve your goals.  Personalized plans include goal setting, periodized interval training, progressive long runs, and racing plans.  

Triathlon Training Programs …  from sprint distance to Ironman distance racing, we can provide personalized training programs that …

  • can take into consideration your schedule of work, home, travel, etc. 
  • can be fine-tuned such that any other training program that you are currently taking is integrated into your overall program, ie: a run program. 
  • can help you train smart.  Many athletes simply put in the miles without much thought about the purpose of the workout or the overall training plan. 
  • utilizes the concepts of stress and adaptation.  Programs will be designed with gradually increasing workload such that you experience a training effect, combined with sufficient rest to allow for adaptation. 
  • Incorporate safety and injury prevention.  As with any sport, there is a risk in training and racing triathlon.  Safety will be considered in all programming. 

Within a coached triathlon training program you can expect:

  • One hour consultation to establish training and racing goals and discuss training schedule
  • Monthly training schedule emailed to you with details about specific workouts and including time, intensity, drills, etc.
  • Monthly one-on-one meeting or phone conversation to review and re-evaluate goals and training progress
  • Training program designed within a seasonal plan which includes a 3 or 4 week periodization;  2 or 3 build weeks followed by a recovery week
  • Unlimited email and phone consultation
  • Training program will also include some benchmarking in all three disciplines in order to evaluate fitness and performance gains
  • Referral service to other related professionals in the fields of physiotherapy, strength training, physiological testing, etc.

Pricing …  There is an initial $60 assessment fee and an initial minimum 3-month commitment.  

Monthly charge varies depending on the complexity of the program required, but will range between $150 and $250 per month.  

ATA membership ….
All athletes are required to have a current Alberta Triathlon Association membership.  This is for insurance purposes, but also allows you to race in any ATA sanctioned race in the province  (www.triathlonab.ca).
