Chris
What Chris says....
I simply enjoy helping people, especially in their physically active pursuits. I started triathlons recreationally 20+ years ago and have competed in all the tri distances. In 2003 I decided to test myself competitively and since have qualified to compete at the World AG level in the Olympic and 70.3 distances and have enjoyed some extra fun trips to races in places such as Madiera, Portugal (World Age Group Championships), and Clearwater, Florida (70.3 World Championships). Overall, I have completed 7 Ironman events and a number of marathons including Boston.
I recently completed my NCCP Triathlon Competition Introduction certification program. I lead weekly spin classes at Tri It, have helped coach at UCTC, a number of camps and work with individual athletes.
I am also a CANSI certified cross country ski instructor in both track and telemark and have taught and competed for a number of years.
What Jill says.....
Chris is one of those guys that will stop and help you if you are having trouble fixing your flat. If you are struggling at the back because you forgot to eat a bar at the last stop he will encourage you to hang onto his wheel and will happily chitchat your way to the end of the ride. He has a tonne of knowledge about triathlon and is a great teacher. His 20+ years of triathlon experience indicates that he is in the more senior age category, but don't let that fool you. He can exit the water near the front of the pack and has humbled many a young rider when he puts the hammer down.
